The main purpose of this role is to develop, implement and embed the resourcing strategy, systems, processes and policies for attracting and recruiting the best candidates to meet the Recruitment needs of Whitbread in the UK and abroad.
The role will also have the responsibility to develop and improve our employer brand marketing activity and resourcing policies for Whitbread which meet the future workforce strategy.
Lastly, the Head of Resourcing role has the ownership of a large team, which will require ongoing coaching and development.

What you’ll do:
- Working with senior stakeholders across the Whitbread estate, including Operations, Contact Centre and Support Centre
- Management of a team of 6 direct reports plus wider team of Resourcing Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners and Resourcing Coordinators.
- Lead the resourcing function to ensure the appropriate talent acquisition strategies are in place to deliver the PI&R business plan. Has ultimate accountability for the resourcing function and provides the highest level of advice and recommendations to the Exec level.
- Lead workforce planning for PI&R drawing on inputs from relevant teams outside HR such as Central Operations, Commercial and Network Planning.
- Accountable for employer brand marketing activity across core Operational candidate markets and wider Whitbread resourcing stakeholders.
- Vendor management and roadmap development of core Resourcing systems; Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Right To Work (RTW) provider.
- Works with L&D to create an engaging onboarding experience that helps retain new starters.
What you’ll need:
- Broad recruitment knowledge of in-house resourcing strategy, employer brand marketing and selection methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to present complex information in a way that the business and external audiences will understand.
- Strong persuasion skills and able to frame communication in a way that executives will respond to
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and a diverse range of external candidates.
- Excellent leadership skills, ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high performance in pressurised environment.
- Significant experience in a resourcing leadership role, including high volume.
- Experience developing and implementing HR resourcing policies.
- Experience of managing and developing resourcing professionals
- Commercial supplier management and partnership development experience
