The Property Strategy team is at the heart of Whitbread’s Estate Planning function, driving short- and long-term site investment strategies to maximise the potential of our estate. From evaluating sites to creating new opportunities, the team is focused on unlocking value and delivering exceptional results, including £120m in cash receipts from our estate optimisation programme last year alone.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll support the Property Finance Manager in shaping plans that combine redeveloping existing sites with acquiring new ones, helping to define the future of our estate – from financial modelling to the preparation of Strategy Board Papers. You’ll also play a key part in managing our Property Strategy database, ensuring accurate and timely insights to drive long term investment decisions.
Reporting to the Property Strategy Manager, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, aligning strategies and contributing to high-profile projects that shape the future of Whitbread. What you will be doing
- Review and optimise site options to find the best opportunities to support growth and maximise profitability.
- Modelling property investments and their potential returns and profitability.
- Work with business partners to deliver optimal strategic investment decisions.
- Support the Accelerated Growth Programme (AGP) through ad hoc analysis and tracking on site exits and disposals.
- Provide clear, timely insights and preparation of board papers to help the business make smart decisions.
What we need
- Analytical mindset with the ability to quickly connect ideas and build financial models independently.
- Ability to work at pace while maintaining high-quality outputs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great organisation and prioritisation skills.
- 0-2 years Post Qualified Experience, holding an accounting qualification (or equivalent experience).
