As the Senior Business Performance Analyst, you will undertake the diagnostic of our hotel commercial performance across the UK and Germany as well as forecasting future outcomes. By owning competitor and market performance analysis, you will become the go-to expert on demand trends and competitive dynamics reporting on Premier Inn performance versus the market and highlighting any potential actions to improve performance.
You will also own the appraisal of commercial opportunities and threats for each of our brands and develop reporting suites to communicate to business leads and senior leadership. You’ll assist in shaping our Commercial Strategy across all hotel brands, ensuring data-driven insights guide decision-making.
Role: Senior Business Performance Analyst – Maternity Cover of up to 12 months
Grade: B16
Location Whitbread Court, Houghton Regis Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 day a week in the office.

What you’ll be doing:-
- Delivering performance reporting and analysis for the Trading Team, identifying new strategies and proposing adjustments to existing ones.
- Supporting various functions within the Commercial team including Digital Marketing/Ecommerce and Sales & Distribution, analysing demand and suggesting optimisation strategies.
- Working with the Investor Relations team, FP&A and WHR Exco to shape the PI and market story for Trading Statements and Investor presentations.
- Supporting the Commercial Strategy team in the research and analysis of strategic commercial projects.
- Forecasting future Premier Inn performance based on demand trends and commercial upside projects.
What you’ll need:-
- Advanced level of Excel
- Experience of working with large and complex Excel models
- Strong analytical skills
- Good presentation skills
- Strategic understanding and interpretation
- Good decision-making based on analytical insight and experience
- Good commercial awareness/experience
- Experience of working across a broad and diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to use own initiative and take appropriate actions.
